We're thrilled to launch Shop York, a month-long celebration of our city's vibrant high streets! The brand-new event is in partnership with Indie York and is designed to boost footfall and sales for York retailers throughout February.

From 1st February, you can pick up your Shop York Passport from the Visit York Information Centre and spend £5 or more at any of the 80+ participating retail shops to collect a sticker. Collect 5 stickers from 5 different retailers to be in with the chance of winning incredible prizes donated by local businesses.

We're excited to partner with York Minster for Colour & Light 2025, which will transform the South Transept of York Minster from Wednesday 12th February to Sunday 2nd March.

The free event will celebrate York's wildlife, creating an unforgettable event for all ages, and highlighting the city's heritage and creativity. The previous editions drew tens of thousands of spectators from York and beyond.

Applications are now open for York Restaurant Week! For the first time, York Restaurant Week will run for an extended period of 2 weeks, from Monday 10th to Sunday 23rd March, giving diners even more opportunities to explore York's brilliant venues.

Since the event's launch in 2019, the BID has delivered 10 Restaurant Week events giving an estimated £1.8 million for York's hospitality industry. It's open and free to all York BID members in the food and drink trade.
