Sign up to participate in Shop York

York BID is inviting local retail businesses to sign-up to participate in an exciting new project called Shop York.

The aim of the event is to incentivise residents to explore our city on shop on York’s High Streets during a typically quieter time of the year.

How Does It Work?

• Customers collect a sticker card or ‘Passport’ from Visit York or a participating business
• Customers who spend £5 or more will receive one sticker on their card
• If customers collect five stickers from five different retailers, they will be eligible to enter a prize draw, with a top prize of a £500 York Gift Card!
• All participating businesses will be featured on the Shop York website, and will have an opportunity to put forward exclusive offers which we will promote as part of an extensive marketing campaign.
• Participation in the event is free but exclusive to retailer businesses which are either York BID or Indie York members. Not a member? Don’t worry! Contact us to find out about your membership options.

Help Us Make It a Success

To make Shop York even more appealing to customers, we’re hoping to offer more brilliant prizes as part of the prize draw. We’ll be asking participating businesses to donate prizes to the draw, which will be promoted through our social media channels and marketing of the event. There is no requirement to donate a prize but will help us to incentivise customers to take part.
